Terms of Service
Effective date: 5 July 2026. These terms cover the igodo.app website and the Igodo app, operated by Igodo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17322510. By using Igodo you agree to them.
1. What Igodo is
Igodo helps people meet through small, real-world gatherings called connects, organised by members we call curators. Igodo is the place where plans are made and people are matched; the gatherings themselves are organised and attended by members, in public places, in the real world.
2. Who can use Igodo
You must be 18 or over. You must give truthful information when you sign up, including your date of birth, and keep your account details accurate. One account per person, and your account is yours alone: keep your sign-in private and do not let others use it.
3. The house rules
These are conduct terms, not decoration. Show up: if you say you are coming, be there, and tell the circle early if that changes. Be open and kind: everyone is a stranger making the same leap, so make room for them. Look after each other, and meet somewhere public. Repeatedly or seriously breaking the house rules can lead to warnings, restrictions, or removal from Igodo.
4. What you must not do
Do not harass, threaten, deceive, or discriminate. Do not misrepresent who you are, including your age. Do not use Igodo to promote or sell things, to advertise events run for commercial gain without our written agreement, or to collect people's information. Do not share another member's personal details, including a connect's address, with people outside that connect. Do not attempt to interfere with the service, other accounts, or our systems.
5. Gatherings and your safety
Connects are organised by members, not by Igodo, and you attend them by your own choice and judgement. We build for safety, including public venues by rule, addresses revealed only to a connect's members, and reporting tools, but we cannot vet every person or supervise any gathering, and we do not guarantee anyone's conduct. Use the care you would use meeting anyone new: meet in the public place stated, and report anything that worries you.
6. Curating
If you curate a connect, you are responsible for what you publish about it: a truthful description, a public venue, a real time, and a plan you intend to host. Curating gives you no authority over other members beyond your own gathering, and no employment, agency, or partnership with Igodo.
7. Your content
What you write and the photos you upload remain yours. You give Igodo a non-exclusive licence to host and display that content within the service so the product can work (for example, showing your profile to a curator, or your connect to people it suits). You are responsible for what you post; do not post what you have no right to share. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
8. Reports, moderation, and ending accounts
We may investigate reports, restrict features, suspend, or remove accounts where we reasonably believe these terms or the house rules have been broken, or where safety requires it, and where the situation allows we will say why. You can stop using Igodo at any time and ask us to delete your account, which we will honour as described in the privacy policy.
9. The service itself
Igodo is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and right, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and features may change, especially in this founding period. Where we have to interrupt or withdraw something, we will be as straightforward about it as we can.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, Igodo is not liable for the acts or omissions of members, for what happens at gatherings, or for losses that are not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. Where we are liable, our total liability in connection with the service is limited to one hundred pounds or the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in ways that matter, we will say so plainly on this page and, for significant changes, in the app, with reasonable notice before they take effect. Continuing to use Igodo after that notice means you accept the change.
12. The legal frame
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live elsewhere in the UK you keep any rights to bring proceedings where you live. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stands. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and Igodo about the service.
